BeautyCon (August 12-13, Los Angeles Convention Center)
Where do we even begin? BeautyCon gathers the top names in beauty & cosmetic industry from bloggers, social influencers, makeup artists and more to discuss current trends, give thousands of sample giveaways and do free makeovers and introduce you to a handful of new beauty and skincare brands. Definitely a must to attend, if you’re a beauty lover or want to upgrade your current collection of products.
New York Fashion Week- NYFW (September 7-14, Various Locations)
Definitely the obvious and most talked about fashion event on everyone’s list is NYFW. Just because it’s in New York doesn’t mean it’s just for the locals. This event pulls thousands of editors, stylists, designers, bloggers and social influencers from all over the world to get their eyes and hands on the latest style and fashion trends from the big brands like Dolce and Gabanna, Dior, YSL and Burberry. Planning on attending? Majority of these shows you’ll need a highly coveted access pass and a lot of them are not for sale, but are given to PR companies that represent the brands. It’s all about who you know to get into the bigger brand’s runway show. Don’t be dismayed, there are several pop-up shows and other open-to-the-public runway shows from smaller fashion houses you can attend and they’re equally as fun. Make sure you plan ahead!
Sniffapalooza Spring Fling (April 28-30, New York)
We’d be remiss not to include a fragrance specific event. There are several scent events to attend throughout the year, but we love Sniffapalooza for their warm, friendly, and inviting events. You’re bound to leave with a new friend or two that shares your same delight in fragrances. From scent brands like Byredo to local New York favorites like Nomenclature and Therapeutate Parfums; you’ll discover a whole new world of spectacular niche scents you starting to make headlines. Can’t make the Spring event? Sniffapoolza does another event in the Fall and it’s also a must attend.
